Rafaela moved from Lisbon to Freixo da Serra in 2019 to fulfil her childhood dream of living in the village her grandparents migrated from in the early 1940s. The path leading from Freixo da Serra to New Life Portugal has long been one of her favourite hikes. Rafaela has always wished for the Serra da Estrela and its spectacular surroundings to be better known to the world, so she welcomed the opportunity to join the New Life team and share this magical place with others. Rafaela hopes it will do for them what it has always done for her – provide an open horizon to cleanse one’s soul.
