Alex has spent his whole life being creative, his curiosity leading him down many weird and wonderful paths, which you can explore on his website.
His main passions are music and film, and how both mediums can be used to tell stories, create meaning, and connect people.
He came to New Life in 2013 and it’s become a second home. He takes photos, creates videos and short films, and composes music for them, always trying to capture the essence and authenticity of the story. He also does various bits of design work for New Life when needed and is a bit of a computer geek!
He’s passionate about running groups to help people with issues he’s struggled with and is a trained facilitator in Speaking Circles, helping people overcome their fears of being the centre of attention.
Alex has travelled all over the world for years, recently settling back in the southwest of England in Bristol. He’s a country boy at heart, growing up in beautiful Devon, and completely fell in love with the land for New Life Portugal when he went to film it years ago.
His favourite pastime is beating Julien at Bananagrams, which doesn’t happen very often!
